In 1930, Cora goes undercover as a maid in a Hollywood magnate’s lavish estate to find evidence for a client. There she encounters Jack, a mysterious man from her past. This is a brilliant and engrossing mystery with a romance subplot that kept me guessing until the end. It immerses the reader in the Hollywood glamour of the time. The characters are well-developed and intriguing. The audio narration is enjoyable. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my voluntary review.
