Pressed into service when World War II breaks out in the Pacific, the U.S.S. Walker—a Great-War vintage "four-stacker" destroyer—finds itself in full retreat from pursuit by Japanese battleships. With its steam power and weaponry, the Walker's very existence could alter the balance of power. And for Matt and his crew, who have the means to turn a primitive war into a genocidal Armageddon, one thing becomes clear: They must decide whose side they're on. Because whoever they choose to side with is the winner.

Про автора
Taylor Anderson is the New York Times bestselling author of the Destroyermen series. A gun maker and forensic ballistic archaeologist, Taylor has been a technical and dialogue consultant for movies and documentaries. He holds a master's degree in history and has taught at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
William Dufris has been nominated nine times as a finalist for the APA's prestigious Audie Award and has garnered twenty-one Earphones Awards from AudioFile magazine, which also named him one of the Best Voices at the End of the Century.
