Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) is a famous Danish writer, well-known for his fairy tales like "The Ugly Duckling", "The Snow Queen", "The Little Mermaid", "The Emperor's New Clothes" etc. Many cartoons and movies were created based on his tales. Nowadays they are still popular and appreciated by people all over the world. "Children's Prattle" is a story about kid's party, where they boast about their rich and powerful parents. Meanwhile one poor boy stands outside and watches through the keyhole. If you were born poor, does it mean that you'll die poor? Not necessarily. Andersen teaches us that we should rely only on our abilities and talents. It doesn't matter who your parents are, it's you who decide how to live and whom to become.
