Even after the legendary evacuation from Dunkirk in June 1940 there were still large British formations fighting the Germans alongside their French allies. After mounting a vigorous counterattack at Abbeville and then engaging a tough defence along the Somme, the British were forced to conduct a second evacuation from the ports of Le Havre, Cherbourg, Brest, and St Nazaire. Robert Forczyk has a PhD in international relations and national security from the University of Maryland, and a strong background in European and Asian military history. A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, Dr. Forczyk is currently a consultant in the Washington, D.C. area.
Michael Page has been recording audiobooks since the mid-1980s and now has nearly 500 titles to his credit. He has won two Audie Awards and several AudioFile Earphones Awards. A PhD and a professional actor, Michael is also a retired professor of theater.
