I love these characters. Alceu is strong but damaged after his parents’ dysfunctional marriage and abominable parenting. Dioni is amazing, quietly and kindly fighting any resistance she encounters in her determination to heal her new family. I enjoyed the audiobook narration. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
