The app works well when it comes to compass, showing altitude and location is also reasonably accurate (just a few metres off). I paid for removal of the advertising. However the so-called "legitimate interests" of ad providers were still turned on while it is reasonable to expect they no longer have a legitimate interest to collect data. It is impossible to disable it. That is a big turn-off and imho misleading the customer wrt data privacy. I have uninstalled the app and requested a refund.

Despite the Google store saying that it is ad-free with over 400 plus on the rating for ad-free, it starts with a massive consent to have your date about what you are doing sold, and then signing up with preferences for advertisers. this program appears to be massively advertiser friendly, and even explicitly states it will track related devices.

Having a samsung phone where there's no native compass app, I have looked into several compass apps and this provudes the most balance between design and functionality. Only issue is that it has ads and now a user agreement for collecting advertisement info. But there are ways to block all ads without paying, so I'm good with it.
