I recently noticed something about message edits and regeneration in ChatGPT. Before, when I edited some of my messages or regenerated a response, the updated version would replace the original. Now, instead of overriding it, the old message stays, and the new ones get stacked below it. For someone who likes things in order, organized, and chronology matters, I find this disruptive and annoying. It's so messy visually and hard to scroll through. Is this a bug or is this an update?

So long as you don't use GPT-4o it's gotten better. 4.1 is still kind of a brown nose. It's that up vote system. the easiest way for your AI to win it us just to agree all the time based on the parameters you set. I remember when 4.5 first came out, I was blown away by some of the writing and accuracy and its ability to see context. but then within gosh, like a month it just collapsed. I don't like your system. but at least the reasoning models are... usable. also long convos crash sometimes.

I've been using ChatGPT for a few months now, and it's honestly become one of my favorite apps. Whether I need help writing something, understanding a tricky topic, or just want to brainstorm ideas, it’s always helpful and surprisingly human-like. It’s not perfect, but it learns fast and keeps improving. Highly recommend for students, writers, and anyone who loves smart tools!
