I just got this as a free trial to see if I could find an audible replacement. The playback for this app is awful. It will switch from the 1.2x I have selected to 1x speed all on its own. If your book isn't downloaded, it freezes all the time. You also don't get to keep the books you've unlocked if you ever cancel your membership. Your unlocks also don't roll over from month to month. That makes no sense. They've already been paid for.

there's a bug that after you finish a book it often crashes when you try to get back into that book. it thinks the book is "finished" once you got to the end and makes it hard to get back in, but often it finished after I fell asleep or I want to revisit. only fix for this bug is uninstall and reinstall. also, would love more flexibility in listening speeds to account for different reading speeds and for different moods (sleep listening or sick listening needs lower speeds to be more chill)

It's EXTREMELY hard to find any of the "unlimited access" items. Everything I found/was recommended, aside from classics I get unlimited on Libby, needs an unlock. You shouldn't be advertising the unlimited catalog if this content isn't easily searchable and Clearly displayed in app. It also wasn't clear to me before I paid how little would be available bc of how things are shown. $12/month for 1 book I can't even access once I cancel is a lousy model. I regret spending the money to resub
