Richard I'Anson is an Australian documentary travel photographer who has built a career on his twin passions for travel and photography. Over the past 39 years he has travelled the world, amassing a substantial and compelling collection of images of people, places, landscapes and wildlife in more than 100 countries on all seven continents. His images are published worldwide in books, magazines, newspapers, brochures, calendars, posters, and on cards and websites. Richard has published 14 books including five editions of the best-selling Lonely Planet Guide to Travel Photography and the large-format pictorials: Australia: 42 Great Landscape Experiences, Nepal, India: essential encounters and Way Down South: Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, South Shetland & Falkland Islands. He is featured in the first series of the National Geographic television series Tales by Light (currently showing on Netflix). Richard is a Master of Photography, awarded by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, an Ambassador for the Australian Himalayan Foundation and represents Canon Australia as a Canon Master Photographer.
