Mario Baldassarri

Mario Baldassarri is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza', Italy. Previously he held positions at several Italian universities, such as the University of Bologna, Catholic University of Milan and University of Turin. He has also been Senior Advisor to a number of finance ministers and prime ministers of the Italian government; advisor to Confindustria, the Italian association of industries; and advisor to a number of major Italian multinational corporations. Has had been Deputy Minister of Economy of the Italian Government from 2001 to 2006 and Chairman of the Senate Finance Commitee from 2006 to 2013. He is a widely published author and editor.
