Leslie Dunton-Downer

Leslie Dunton-Downer earned a BA, with specialization in Ancient Greek, from Harvard in 1983, where she returned for a PhD with distinction in Comparative Literature in 1992. Her graduate work focused on English and other languages and literatures of western medieval Europe. She speaks a number of living Indo-European languages, including Farsi, has reading ability in others, mainly dead ones, and has some ability in Egyptian Arabic. Dunton-Downer is a Trustee of the International School of Boston. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
