Beatriz Rivera

Born in Havana, Beatriz Rivera came to Miami at the age of three, soon after Fidel Castro's rise to power in Cuba. She has lived in Switzerland & France, & obtained her master's degree from the Sorbonne in Paris. Her previous books include "African Passions & Other Stories" (1995) & the novel "Midnight Sandwiches at the Mariposa Express" (1997). She now resides in the Hudson Valley region of New York.
