Avgi Saketopoulou

Avgi Saketopoulou, Psy.D. is a Cypriot and Greek analyst on faculty at the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, where she also trained. In 2021 she co-chaired the conference "Laplanche in the States: the Sexual and the Cultural", the first US conference dedicated to the work of Laplanche. She is the author of Sexuality Beyond Consent: Risk, Race, Traumatophilia (Sexual Cultures Series, NYU Press, 2023) and co-author with Dr. Ann Pellegrini of Gender Without Identity (Unconscious in Translation Press, 2023).
