Amy Robach

Amy Robach was born in February 1973 in East Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Georgia in Broadcast Journalism. In 1994, she competed in the Miss Georgia pageant and was named 4th runner up. As a television journalist, she has worked at WTTG in Washington, D.C., and NBC News in New York for four years. She was co-anchor for Weekend Today (2007-2012) and also filled in for Countdown with Keith Olbermann and Morning Joe. In 2012, she changed networks to work as a correspondent for Good Morning America and eventually became their new anchor. Amy has traveled extensively interviewing political figures and newsmakers. In March 2013 Robach announced, on Good Morning America, that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She took time off to undergo a bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and reconstructive surgery. Robach lives in New York City with her husband, two young daughters, and stepson.
