He's led workshops and creative arts programs across the U.S., Europe, Africa, and the West Indies - teaching students, inspiring educators, and coaching emerging writers to find their voice. Simmons is also the founder of Kids Comic Con, a family-friendly event celebrating creativity, literacy, and diversity. His passion for storytelling has shaped his work with everyone from Random House to the U.S. State Department. For over 35 years, he's been a leader in arts education - serving on boards, speaking at conferences, and guiding countless creators on their journey.
