Murder In The Inn was my very first book; I wrote it while living in Washington DC. where in 1986, I combined my acting and writing careers by starting an interactive theater company, Mystery on the Menu. I directed the plays, acted in them and also wrote the scripts. I had many different themes and I often used the same characters in the plays such as the gambler Duke, the psychic Countess Maria , the would-be detective Janie Jason, the casting director Allison Evans and many others. I became very attached to these characters; they began to seem like real people as I created their backstories and relationships. I wanted to save them, to remember them so, I decided to put them into a book which became Murder in The Inn. It was followed by Another Murder in the Inn and then I moved to Florida and it was obvious (to me) that I had to write Murder In Another Inn.
