Davis Bunn has a way with words and he isn't limited to one genre. The characters seemingly come to life and leave the ties of the page behind. Danny is a layered and complex individual who is dealing with the issues of his past that he thought he'd long left behind. But when he faces an unexpected betrayal he has to deal with what is missing in his life. Fortunately, Megan Pierce's parents offer the young producer their friendship and a willing ear to hear what he needs to share. This book is contemporary fiction and it is excellent reading. This isn't high-intensity reading but rather fiction that deals with the every day, with living life. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.
