A typical alien romance in which his physique and her lust provide the draw for the human. The draw for the alien appears to be blond hair, blue eyes, and some form of fated mate/ insta love. The obstacle in this episode is xenophobia. Very good writing makes the reading speed with few stumbling blocks. The world is well drawn and clear and the characters are amenable and familiar to seasoned genre readers. It's an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Fast paced entry to a new series. Esmay signs up to be a mail order bride to save her family. She is matched to Vaath who happens to be the prince and heir to the throne. There is excitement, true love, relief that they are a true match and an evil group trying to stop Martians from marrying humans. They'll have to find a way to work together to save themselves, their people and their planet. Likable characters and genuine attraction make this an easy read. It is a standalone. I did find there were a couple of things that didn't end up fitting into the story. I wonder if they'll show up later in the series? If not there is a bit of rambling going on but nothing too distracting from the main story. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

I absolutely enjoyed reading this outstanding Sci-Fi mail-order bride alien romance with an “enemies to lovers” undertone & it can be read as a standalone. I found the plot to be well-paced with good world building & fascinating to read with excellent, vivid descriptions of the Martian cultures & technologies. The characters are well-developed with individual personalities & portray realistic emotional feelings according to the current situation they find themselves in. There is good support from the secondary characters. There is: a young woman (Esmay) decides to become a mail-order bride in order to save her parents & siblings only to discover she is matched to a deadly blue-skinned warrior (Prince Vaarth) who led the battle against earth & the cause of her problems in the meanwhile Prince Vaarth is determined to win her heart but there is trouble on the horizon, humans, aliens, alien fertility issues, anti-human brides resistance/terrorists, action, adventure, drama, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, deceit, betrayal, hatred, enemies, danger, threats, attacks, violence, conflict, discovery, distrust, emotional turmoil, friendship, loyalty, steamy scenes, contentment, love & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this Sci-Fi alien romance & look forward to the next book in this series with great anticipation.
