Very slipshod: e.g. The car that rammed the SUV was Kaitlyn's Polo yet when the hire car is returned it has a dented bumper from the ramming. The first Standing book had some psychological force and was tightly and engagingly enough written to pass the time nicely. This was really very trivial and formulaic. Could do better.

Both a strong story in its own right but also a great link to the world of Spider Shepherd.
