Dr. Mohit Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University Institute of Engineering, Gharaun, Mohali. He completed his graduation (B. Tech) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering (spl. Welding and Fabrication) from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET, Deemed University) and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (polymer composites) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. In overall, he has secured 18+ lakhs INR fellowship (till march 2021) since 2014 that include MHRD fellowship in M.Tech and DAE-BRNS, BARC fellowship in sponsored project. He has secured Gold medal for his academic excellence in M.Tech. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters) in reputed international/national journals and books. His publications include high quality journals and their respective categories as Polymer Composites, Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, Applied Composite Materials, Fibers and Polymers, Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology etc. Additionally, he is the editorial review board member of two international journals. His research activities have focussed on characterization and synthesis of polymer composite materials, the aging of FRP composites, and FEM. At present, his area of interest is on the natural composites derived from the natural polymers having application area in Tissue Engineering.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh is a Research Scientist at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. He has considerable experience in polymer composite manufacturing and its various characterizations. Currently, he is acting as Associate Editor of Materials Science Section of Heliyon Journal and Guest Editor of International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing, Springer. He is also the Section Editor of Polymer Processing and Engineering in Journal of Polymer Science and Engineering, EnPress. His research interests include plastic waste recycling, pyrolysis, polymer and polymer composites, sustainable manufacturing, additive manufacturing, flame-retardants, mechanical and thermal characterizations, tribology of polymer materials, machining of materials, and the degradability of polymer composites.
Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa, is currently working as a Senior Research Scientist/Associate Professor and Advisor within the office of the President for University Promotion and Development towards International Goals at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. He received his B.Eng. (Mechanical Engineering) in 2010, MTech (Computational Analysis in Mechanical Sciences) in 2013, Ph.D. (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Science) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India in 2018 and Post Doctorate from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand, in 2019. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and an Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (India).
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin is President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. He has received his Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Applied Sciences Giessen/Friedberg, Hessen, Germany in 1999, M.Sc. in Polymer Technology from University of Applied Sciences Aalen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany in 2002, M.Sc. in Material Science at the Erlangen-Nürnberg University, Bayern, Germany in 2004, Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from Institute for Composite Materials, University of Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany in 2008 and Postdoctoral Research from Kaiserslautern University and School of Materials Engineering, Purdue University, USA. In 2016 he received the habilitation at the Chemnitz University in Sachen, Germany. He worked as a Lecturer for Production and Material Engineering Department at The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), KMUTNB. He has been full Professor at KMUTNB and became the President of KMUTNB. He won the Outstanding Researcher Award in 2010, 2012 and 2013 at KMUTNB.
Dr. Ajay Sharma is a Natural Product Chemist with a strong Organic Chemistry, Photochemistry, Biochemistry, and Ethnobotany background. Presently, he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, at the University of Mississippi, Oxford, USA. Previously he worked as a Senior Executive - NFSI Nestle R&D Center, India. He completed his (B.Sc. Medical) from Govt. College Hoshiarpur (affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh), Master’s in Organic Chemistry (Natural Products) from Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana and his PhD (Organic Chemistry – Natural product) from SLIET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Deemed University) Punjab. He has published over 45 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters with highly reputed publishers. Presently, he has five edited books under development with different international publishers. His research activities have focused on isolation and characterization of bioactive extracts from traditional medicinal plants and evaluation of their biological potential. Currently, his research group at Chandigarh University is investigating the field of more environmentally friendly synthesis of metal nanoparticles and carbon nanodots using plant extracts/plant-based biomass followed by assessing their biological, catalytic, and sensing potential.
