Of all the aliens whose extinct civilizations are studied, the Trilisks are the most advanced and the most mysterious.Telisa refuses to join the government because of her opposition to its hard-handed policies restricting civilian investigation and trade of alien artifacts, despite the fact that her estranged father is a captain in the United Nations Space Force. When a group of artifact smugglers recruits her, she can't pass up the chance at getting her hands on objects that could advance her life's work. But she soon learns that her expectations of excitement and riches come with serious drawbacks as she ends up fighting for her life on a mysterious alien planet.

Combination of alien sci-fi, future human space exploration, xenoarcheology, and battle action. I wasn't expecting much at first, and was happily surprised once I got into it. I'm now looking forward to getting the next book in the series.

I liked this story very much and recommend reading it. The Trilisk Ruins opens up the adventures of a smuggling team and their mission to find artifacts. I enjoyed every chapter finding it hard to stop reading, I can't wait to start reading the second book of the Trilisk series. I would like to see thie Trilisk series on the movie screen and hope it finds it's way there soon. I'm glad I found the link to The Trilisk Ruins and would rate this story a 10 as I loved it very very much, I'm hooked.

A YA-standard space opera with some fresh SF invention, but prose that could have benefitted from some polish and editing.
