I was blown away by this book, I could simply not put it down. Rory was an amazing young woman, she lived her life in service of others knowing that her own life was going to be shortened by a curse. When she finally takes some time on her own she meets Cordray and they hit it off right away. I was incredibly impressed with the characters, like them or hate them they were vibrant, larger than life and had great depth. I loved Henry, he was just a naughty, beautiful man who was a true friend to Rory. When her curse comes to pass despite all their best efforts and the one man who can save her kidnapped and held by someone bound and determined to turn him to the dark side her family and friends scramble to find a way to bring her back. Will Cordray be able to escape and save her and even if he can, will they be able to have a future together with how his powers are manifesting? It’s is a compelling read with a storyline that mesmerized and excited me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book takes the Sleeping Beauty story and adds some very unique twists and asks the reader some complex questions. This is book one of this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Rory is a very likable character and I found the start to her story very interesting and entertaining. Can't wait for book two.
