About this ebook

A doomed love affair. An unsolved murder. And a mystery a thousand years in the making.

Sophia knows how to keep secrets, and how dangerous those secrets can be. Her family’s power and position are why people call her the principessa, but that’s also why she’s tasked with investigating a gruesome crime.

Unable to solve the riddles the killer left behind, Sophia reaches out to an expert. Dr. James Rathmann shows up, guarded by modern-day knight Tristan. Both men are devastatingly sexy, wickedly smart, and deliciously protective. Sophia doesn’t need their protection, but the safety she feels when she’s with them is all too alluring.

When clues reveal that this murder may only be the first of many, they find themselves in a game of cat and mouse and passion is put to the test when the killer sets his sights on the three of them.

Treachery's Devotion is a threesome romantic suspense. It can be read as a standalone or enjoyed as part of the ongoing Trinity Masters series.

A Grand mystery and ongoing. I read because L Dubois other series (the Checklist🔥🔥🔥) was incredibly hot. Although this was steamy it was not close to the other. It instead was an intriguing world of a centuries old Society and a plot to take it down. Every member is required to be in a trinity, a marriage of three people of any combination, A ménage à trois. (Fr. "a marriage of three") These matches are arranged and bound by a leader of one of the nine European territories. One must be invited to become a member and requirements seem to be wealth and either a past or future greatness. Or legacy status. After finishing this story I realized while I have begun (I think) at the beginning of This Mystery, I am well in the middle of the reading order for this world. (see reading order at the end of this book.) I can't really decide how much I like the series.

Treachery's Devotion is a spectacular contemporary romance by Mari Carr and Lila Dubois. This is a M/F/M menage so it may not be for everyone. Team Carr/Dubois have delivered a book that is well-written and furnished it with a cast of characters that is, in a word, spectacular. Tristan isn't a legacy in the Masters' Admiralty, but he's proud to be a Knight. Sophia is a legacy and is known as the Princess of Rome, but she's also a cop for the Admiralty. James is an expert on coins and legacy Admiralty. When 3 members of the Admiralty are murdered, Sophia has Tristan guard James when they travel to the Rome territory. Sophia, James and Tristan's story is cover to cover drama, humor, action, suspense and smokin' hot sexy bits. I enjoyed reading Treachery's Devotion and look forward to my next Mari Carr/Lila Dubois book. This is book 1 of the Masters' Admiralty Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I love Mari Carr's writing and now I have to add Lila Dubois to the list of fav authors. This was my intro to the Trinity Masters and I thrilled to read every word. What complex world building! It had a great plot and all the drama, tension, and sex I could wish for. Will definitely hunt out more of these series since she has so many!
