Carys Davies is a carefree, redheaded firecracker. Because of a secret from her past that she is trying to hide, Carys tends to behave in a wild, flashy way that no man would ever be interested in her. Plus the only man Carys has ever been interested in is Tristan Montgomery, the rule following gorgeous man from their rival family. Ms. Bateman wrote a wonderful, amazing, melodramatic tale of virtue lost, and redemption found hat is not to be missed. Throw in mimic ravens and a music loving bear, and don't forget the enemies to lover's romance. The villain doesn't get his just deserts, but he at least gets taken care of. With sizzling chemistry, witty banter, endearing character, as well as twists and turns, Carys and Tristan finally have a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected.

Kate Bateman’s “A Daring Pursuit”: The Ruthless Rivals (Ruthless Rivals, 2) is a wonderful book! I absolutely adored this book.? Kate Bateman is amazing, she always surpasses herself. This enemies to lover’s story is both smart and exhilarating. I was caught between trying to savor and devour it at the same time. It’s the details that provide the vision that heightens the drama. This of course impacts the characters through each step of the story. The characters are just amazing. I loved both Carys and Tristan! The author’s dialogue skills are extraordinary and the snappy, witty and clever banter and dialogue between the characters was so entertaining. They are authentic, animated and realistic with such depth and individuality. And yet despite the feud between their families there’s a magnetic pull between them. with a passion, when unleashed that singes the page. I loved it, the mystery, the romance, the love story. It was all so well written and executed.. Well worth the read! Thank you so much Ms. Bateman do this delightfully entertaining love story!
