Beginning with a boom! Starlight Ridge is busy with Eli Hunt and his production crew there filming. Jo Darby and other town residents are waiting for their first call as extras when one of the film crew is murdered. Sheriff Hart wants Jo and Dottie to stay out of his investigation. He knows that won't happen when he arrests their friend. The show won’t go on unless they solve this case! This is such a fun series. Jo and Dottie are opposite personalities, and yet their loyalty never wavers.

This quick, fun read was yet another great entry in this very enjoyable series. It kept me guessing until the very end, and I stayed up way too late reading it because I didn't want to put it down. A movie production has come to town and in addition to the crowds and disruption it’s also borough a murder or two with it. As Jo was acting as an extra and one of her fellow extras was a victim she feels compelled to help or meddle fine line. Dottie is less than enthused but eventually comes around. Now everyone is a suspect and who can tell the acting from the reality? The sheriff has his hands full with Jo and then there’s the pesky murder to solve too Greta story. Loved the added craziness

About the author

Kat Bellemore is a small town romance and cozy mystery author. Deciding to have New Mexico as the setting for two of her series was an easy choice, considering its amazing sunsets, blue skies and tasty green chile. That, and she currently lives there with her husband and two cute kids. They hope to one day add a dog to the family, but for now, the native animals of the desert will have to do. Though, Kat wouldn't mind ridding the world of scorpions and centipedes. They're just mean.
