This latest installment in the Godslayer Academy ups the angsty drama by another factor, as Lara learns she’s not the only one keeping secrets. I really liked that they don’t stay secrets for long between Lara and Robert, and I’m curious to see where that connection is going to go. It also seems like there may be more between Charley and Dr. Palmer than first meets the eye. We get a couple answers with this book, but they only open the door to even more questions. This one was an extremely short one but it still is extremely good. I really loved that we get to see another side of Lara and even Charley. What is going on with Charley and the good doctor? What is going to happen with Lara and Robert? Who killed the Dean? Are the Gods coming back soon? These questions are yet to be answered. This book dives in a little deeper and we learn a bit more about Robert. It is extremely well written and developed. The ending though it had me just like “what how can you end it here?” I absolutely can’t wait for the next book in the series.
