Genaro J. Perez is Professor of Hispanic Literature at Texas Tech University. His academic publications include five books: Formalist Elements in the Novels of Juan Goytisolo, 1979; La novelÃstica de J. Leyva, 1985; La novela como burla/juego: siete experimentos novelescos de Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, 1989; La narrativa de Concha AlÃŗs: texto, pretexto y contexto, 1993; Ortodoxia y heterodoxia de la novela policiaca hispana: Variaciones sobre el gÊnero negro, 2002. He has also written two books of poetry (Prosapoemas and Spanish Quarter Notes) and a novel (The Memoirs of John Conde). Co-Editor and Managing Editor of Monographic Review/Revista monogrÃĄfica. Over fifty articles published in refereed journals (Hispania, Insula, Letras Femeninas, Confluencia, Romance Notes, HispanÃŗfila, etc.) Hundreds of book reviews have appeared in professional journals, and he has presented over 110 papers at regional, national and international professional meetings.
