Acerca deste livro eletrónico

Advancements in manufacturing significantly shape industrial services and products, influencing societal improvement. The dynamic manufacturing process, involving resources, capital, people, machines, and information, rapidly evolves with technological progress, impacting industries. To meet market demands and enhance global competitiveness, industries focus on integrating resources efficiently. This involves adopting emerging trends and advanced strategies that optimise industrial systems, providing diverse options and improving global green production. 'Emerging Trends in Manufacturing Technologies' is organised into two sections covering various aspects of manufacturing technologies. The first section reviews methods and strategies such as the Digital Era of Manufacturing Science, eco-mechatronics, and Human-Machine Interaction. The second section explores advanced tracks like machining, joining, casting, and inspection techniques. Aimed at researchers, academics, students and professionals, the book compiles original research and applications, offering logical and analytical solutions to manufacturing challenges. It serves as a comprehensive update on the state-of-the-art in manufacturing, fostering further research and innovation.• Integrates numerical, experimental, and computational methods across various manufacturing processes.• Explores concepts from mechanical, production, and industrial engineering, providing a holistic view of the manufacturing field.• Offers a detailed guide on modeling and optimising diverse manufacturing methods, including emerging trends such as Industry 4.0, additive manufacturing, robotics, and more.• Addresses key topics like Micro- and Nano-Manufacturing, Cellular Manufacturing, and advancements in machining, joining, forming, powder metallurgy, casting, and moulding science, backed by original theoretical, experimental, and modeling results.
