Cold Case Pursuit

I love reading books where you already know the killer and he keeps coming after the victim time and again but gets away! The tension mounts and you just CANNOT put the book down!!! The author is a master as suspense and non-stop action. I love reading her books and this was a great one. Penny witness the murder of her parents 20 years ago but the killer let her live. However, now he decides that it's time she dies and her brother too so he's coming after them! How terrifying would that be in real life! You've been dealing with those memories for 20 years only to have them resurrected now and know that at any moment, he could snatch your life away! Penny actually comes close to that several times! Tyler is the police offer tasked with her safety, even though her brother, Bradley is a police offer too but the killer also has HIM in his sights so Tyler is the one who is trying to keep Penny safe. He's a single-father too and his daughter is so adorable! I really enjoyed this story - all the elements of it - even the angst both Penny & Tyler feel as their feeling towards each other deepen. It's a great book!

Suspense, Romance, and K-9s What a great book to read! Plan on reading it in one sitting because you won't want to put it down. The suspense is nail-biting but did not reach nightmare level for me. The romance is realistic and faith-filled. The rest of the story includes working K-9s, loyal personal dogs, puppies, and a toddler. This book is part of Harlequin's Love Inspired Suspense Inspirational Romance Collection. At the end of this book is a teaser for the next book in the series. I am going to go pick that one up and read it now! In fact, I am just going to get the entire series so I can binge on the entire thing.
