About this ebook

There’s no mean girl like an internet mean girl. Especially when she’s a witch.

Selena hasn’t been in Globe, Arizona, very long, but she's quickly learned to be wary when her friend Josie gets a bright idea — like insisting she join the growing legion of internet witches. While being an Instagram star sounds like a good way to promote her metaphysical shop, Selena can’t ignore the feeling she’s about to get some pretty crappy juju dropped on her head.

It isn’t as if she doesn’t have time to produce content — or even date, since it appears tribal police chief Calvin Standingbear has ghosted her. Too bad the perfectly nice rancher who offers his place for a live-streamed solstice bonfire ritual doesn’t strike a single spark.

But when the dark side of social media rears its ugly head, Selena’s going to need all the friends she can get, including the secretive police chief. Because social media rivalries can be murder — and Selena could be targeted as a suspect…or the next victim.

This is a pleasant story about a mystery to be solved and a romance to be kindled. There are a lot of references to previous events so the first book should be a better starting point than Book 2. This murder mystery will again depend on Selena's psychic skills to solve. She is especially motivated to find the real murderer because she has become a person of interest. Along the way to the solution, her departed grandmother advises her where to look for the answer to her search. Following the advice, she finds her fated mate in a surprising way. She is almost another victim in an exciting showdown between the murderer and Selena.

Fun, quick read. Sorry someone had to die for the author (or her publisher?) to consider it a worthy story. These characters could have mearly gone missing and need finding for her powers to be put to practical use.

It appears that Selena our Hedgewitch and her Metaphysical Shop are making a name in their new home town of Globe Arizona. So, in order to appease her friend Josie to support the town and her shop become a popular hot tourist spot Selena becomes an Instagram Internet Witch. Becoming an Instagram Star only brought her a lot of witchy hot water including murder. But all was not in vain because the entire social media Solstice event brought a discovery so incredible that it was staggering. Book 2 of Christine Pope’s Hedgewitch for Hire brings a surprising concept that is so mind-boggling that it will keep you on your toes. I recommend it highly along with Book 1 of this series.
