This book did not disappoint. It is different story than you usually read. It is not a couple who falls in love but a couple who is already in love but has lost their way. Cassidy and Shaw has been a couple for about four years and have a three year old son. But life seems to be getting in the way, so their romance is waning. Shaw is a sought after top notch sports agent. He is at his client’s beck and call. He is rarely home at a decent hour and spends little time with his family. Cassidy used to be a sports agent as well but she decided to take a leave of absence to raise their son. But Cassidy is not happy. She can feel her and Shaw drifting apart. So she gives him an ultimatum. They have to attend couples counseling or else Cassidy is leaving. Because Shaw still loves Cassidy deeply, he agrees. As they begin to work on their relationship their passion comes back and they begin realize why they feel for each other in the first place. The sex scenes were hot. This was a well written book. It was realistic. The story flows easily. You really wanted to see Shaw and Cassidy succeed. Even though this is the third book, it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to more books by this author.

We finally have the conclusion to Shaw and Cassidy's story!!!! What I did not expect was for it to be so emotional. Book 2 left off where Shaw and Cassidy and just had their baby boy, Abraham Whalen Matthew, but we get a fun recap of the baby being born. Great comedy here! I laughed so much, especially at Shaw! Now we fast forward three years to where life isn't all roses anymore for this couple. Shaw has gone on to great things at work, now that he is a partner, while Cassidy has stayed home to raise Abe. Cassidy loves staying home with Abe, but resents how Shaw always puts work first. After one final work interference Cassidy has had enough. She's leaving and taking Abe to Stonington, Maine to live with her family. This causes Shaw to finally take notice. Shaw finally agrees to counseling. Dr. Jeremy Sparling was a hoot. It was fun seeing Shaw and Cassidy go through counseling. It was very apparent that these two love each other but have a lot of pent up frustrations that they each have been holding in. Then when Dr. Kayta Minkov was brought into the picture things got really interesting! ;) Throughout the story Shaw and Cassidy had to deal with their issues head on. Until then, they couldn't truly be happy. Of course, by the end, these two end up happier than they ever were! Overall this was a fun, hot and entertaining story that takes you through many emotions. I really enjoyed the ride these two went on and loved their happy ending!

I'm sad to see Shaw and Cass's journey end. It's like losing a friend. Having watched this couple go from enemies, to rivals, to lovers and now parents leaves me with a bittersweet feeling. Coming Clean is the powerful conclusion to a rocky and driven love story. Along the way Shaw has exposed more of his tragic past and become a little more open but his heartbreaking past is never far from his mind and remains a barrier to his future with Cass and his son. Falling in love was never the plan for Cass. Her fast paced career was well on it's way to the top when her emotions won out. She's sacrificed much and wants more than a distant lover and a brain full of what is. C.L. Parker, has written a story that is more mature than the others in the Monkey Business Trio series. Coming Clean is about setting priorities and discovering what's important before it's too late.

About the author

C. L. Parker is a romance author who writes stories that sizzle. She’s a small-town girl with big-city dreams and enough tenacity to see them come to fruition. Having been the outgoing sort all her life—which translates to “she just wouldn’t shut the hell up”—it’s no wonder she eventually turned to writing as a way to let her voice, as well as the voices of the people living inside her head, be heard. She loves hard, laughs until it hurts, and lives like there’s no tomorrow. In her world, everything truly does happen for a reason.
