All I have to say is WOW! I was totally right! This book definitely starts out with a bang! I knew this would get spicier as the series moved along and Ms. Jacobs DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I liked seeing some old friend from other books pop up. I need more with Diana too! That was a nice surprise! I could not put this book down. This story just builds and builds and I am completely invested in what's going to happen with Juliet and Ford.

This is the second book in the series and book 1 Alpha Betrayed must be read first. This book picks up right the first left off. Things are about to get real interesting for Ford and Juliet as they enter the Lost Moon University campus grounds. Juliet is in for a surprise as she gets to experience true friendships along the way. It made me real happy for her and Ford. Allegiances are going important because things are not all they seem at Lost Moon. I feel this one is the calm before the storm.

I loved the continuation of Ford and Juliet’s wolf and phoenix shifter romance with a side of mystery and danger. This book is part of a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. As long as you are aware of that you’ll enjoy the story. This book picks up at the exact moment where the last book left off. This book has sweet moments, sexual tension, action, danger, messy relationships, painful pasts, mystery, evil actors, plot twists, imperfect characters, and chuckles. I can’t wait for the final book.
