Building structures are unique in the field of engineering, as they pose challenges in the development and conceptualization of their design. As more innovative structural forms are envisioned, detailed analyses using computer tools are inevitable. This book enables readers to gain an overall understanding of computer-aided analysis of various types of structural forms using advanced tools such as MATLAB®. Despre autor

Srinivasan Chandrasekaran is a Professor of the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. He has over 24 years of teaching, research, and industrial experience, during which he has supervised many sponsored research projects and offshore consultancy assignments both in India and abroad. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy (MiUR Fellow), during which time he conducted research on advanced nonlinear modeling and analysis of structures under different environmental loads with experimental verifications. He has published over 130 research papers in international journals and refereed conferences organized by professional societies around the world. He has also authored textbooks, which are quite popular among graduate students in civil and ocean engineering. He is a member of many national and international professional bodies and delivered many invited lectures and keynote addresses at international conferences, workshops, and seminars organized in India and abroad.
