With Christmas approaching, the Brogan family of London's East End are braving the horrors of the Blitz. Jean Fullerton is the author of seven historical novels. She is a qualified District and Queen's nurse who has spent most of her working life in the East End of London, first as a Sister in charge of a team, and then as a District Nurse tutor. She is also a qualified teacher and spent twelve years lecturing on community nursing studies at a London university. She now writes full-time.

Rosie Akerman is an actor and voiceover artist from London, England. A graduate of the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts (ALRA), Rosie trained extensively in both classical and recorded media, including screen, radio and video game performance. With a sharp ear for accents and a passion for storytelling, she has voiced hundreds of projects—from 3-word ads to 150,000-word audiobooks. Some of her screen work includes This Is Going To Hurt (BBC), Call the Midwife (BBC) & Dumbo (Disney).
