Flashlight

2nd most simple flashlight app of 12 tested. Adjust settings and set it to turn on automatically. works every time no ads. optional settings not useful for me but the reliability is. very few other apps had fast loading times and a simple light. would highly recommend even though there is no brightness adjustment.

Does what it is supposed to do. The widget works fine on the lock screen when used with Zachary Wander's Lock Screen Widgets app. Shaking to turn on and off is a nice touch, but it only works will while the app is running. The "no ads" claim was a bit odd when at the same time Google Play says "contains ads", but it turns out you can explicitly turn on ads to support the app, but by default this is turned off. (I would actually rather pay for the app than have it show ads.)

(my review from 2025) Edit.. 5 years later and it's still as useful as ever. I turn on the flashlight by double tapping my power button. Easy! I've used it countless times over the years and on different phones too.
