About this game

This is the ad-free version. Enjoy the classic look and feel of the game as you work to mark the mines without uncovering one. You use the numbers of a revealed square to tell you how many mines are next to that square. Using logic, you figure out where the mines are and mark them. Watch out! If you make a mistake, a mine will explode!

The app features a clean interface and the minefield fits to your screen size.

There are three themes available: Classic, Light, and Dark.

Minimum long tap delay of 200 is too slow. Could there be options for 100 and/or 150? Too many times, I have pressed for not quite long enough, which explodes a mine. I would rather a false positive - long tap flag where I mean to reveal (harmless) - than a false negative, which immediately loses the game. In a timed game it makes sense that you want to be as quick as possible. I will up the review score if faster long tap delays are added, as the game is solid and true to the original.

I've been playing this version of Minesweeper for a while now.... years? And the fact that I've stuck with it means that yes, I've liked it. Until this new 1.2.8 version was released. It feels like a complete rewrite of the game and that's a problem because it's gotten VERY slow. Before, every tap was basically instantaneous, but now? There's a very noticable delay and quite frankly, it makes the game unplayable, especially since it's a timed game where you're trying to find all the mines fast.

It could be a cool minesweeper game, but it fails in the most fundamental thing: the level generation. In other minesweepers, the level starts after you first search for a mine, in such a way that almost always it is a blank space. In this game, though, more often than not you start with a 1, or a 2, and nothing else, and you just can try to guess until you uncover multiple blanks and can really apply the logic that defines the game. When this is fixed, I'll gladly change the review
