Attract cats with food and then watch them romp with your toys! More than 40 varieties of cats—white and black, tabby and calico—might stop by. Rare cats are rumored to roam the neighborhood too, but you'll need particular items to entice those elusive felines. Each visitor is logged in your Catbook. Become a master kitty collector and fill it up!

I loved the first game (and still play!) I'm loving this one so far. Good quality of life changes that make managing photos and goodies easier. The two new yard layouts (so far) are both lovely! I like that the two basic yard options get a special visitor every so often so you really don't feel like you're missing out or being punished for using those yards. I thought I was going to hate the system of having to repair items but I actually don't! It's fun to see the different item states!

Neko Atsume 2 is identical to the first game but definitely improved. The cats are still super cute and it's still a great way to occupy some time. The monthly sub offers are not too bad, seem to be inexpensive and offer a fun benefit of having a helper to refill snack bowls. If paid services are something you're into, the options seem fair. I'm excited to see what different furniture and cats are added in the future.

It's ok, the original is better. Pluses 1 You can take portrate as well as landscape photos of the cats. 2 The goody menu is better. 3 New items. Negatives 1 Fewer cat visits. 2 Fewer fish gifts from cats. 3 Closing windows is awkward. You can't hit the close window button but rather anywhere outside the window (annoying but not game breaking) 4 they took away the ability to convert regular fish to gold fish. I haven't tried the social stuff, and honestly I play the original way more.
