I was a subscriber for years, but when I discovered that I can no longer play audiobooks higher than 2.0× speed I cancelled pretty much immediately. I listen to audiobooks for fun and not because I want to get frustrated and constantly distracted because of the slow speed. So this app is useless to me now, I may consider resubscribing if this feature is brought back.

Storytel has been my choice of audiobookapp since I started listening to audiobooks. This recently changed when they decided that all customers can't listen at higher than 2x speed. I'm sorry, but quality or not, it should be up to the paying customer how fast they listen to books. My preferred speed was saved up until now, so I could still listen. I'm afraid you've lost a customer because of this.

I have had a subscription for this app for over 5 years now, and I have generally enjoyed all the updates. The most recent update, however, doesn't allow the user to set a custom audiobook speed above 2×, which is rather annoying. After all, I tend to listen to books at 2.5x or 3x speed. I hope Storytel can readjust this update and, in doing so, maintain a user-friendly platform.
