About this app

It does not matter if you use train, underground or bus. If you use the 'München navigator', you can buy a ticket on your mobile, including all forms of transport within Munich (MVV). You buy your ticket and off you go - flexible and uncomplicated! Additional you get actual information, when there are disruptions on the track.

How does it work?

Buy your ticket directly via app
You can travel all over Munich and buy the ticket in the app – in the MVV you can buy single tickets, stripe tickets, day tickets, weekly and monthly passes, the airport-city-day-ticket (single or group), the city tour ticket or day tickets for your bike. When you travel within Bavaria you can buy the Bayern-Ticket and other regional day tickets. You pay by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Amex), PayPal or if you are registered by bank transfer. Done with FAIRTIQ! Billing will be done the following day at the best price according to the MVVswipe tariff regulations.

I bought a €14.30 ticket that never showed up in the app. I will never be using this again.

Its a better app than the ones it replaced because it gives a realtime train locstion map. Unfortunately, it still suffers from the fact that it doesn't provide any valuable information as to why a stop is closed or why the train isn't running. I have to go to two different sites to discover the possible cause for cancellations and the most i can ever find is a generic message. There needs to be more realtime messaging in the app as well as for favorite routes.

Mostly useless, since unreliable... Even without disruptions, the app Reports connections that do not exist and misses connections that do exist. The live map still does NOT show the real train positions, otherwise ghost trains would not be possible. And it's getting worse year by year... Update 2024: App seems to be mostly abandoned .... 2025: More features got disabled
