Convenient but buggy and not the greatest User Experience. The custom device name is not retained. After saving the name it reverts back to the default name Device_XXXX. Detecting the PL devices generally takes quite some time. The app always starts with a message 'No Device Found', and then suddenly starts showing devices. Very frequently the master device (linked to router) is not recognize at all.

The app has a tendency to time out before successfully polling all the devices. If you reinstall the app you lose the customised names, set the names directly on the devices rather than use the app. The devices themselves are best reset to factory settings first, then have their firmware updated before you install them. Always install the non-wireless devices first and let them settle for an hour or so before adding the wireless devices. Be systematic.

Utterly dreadful software. Mobile app can NEVER see any of the adapters in the home network, despite being connected to the same network. No amount of resets/reconfigs makes the slightest difference. The desktop app is almost as bad, but the mobile app is completely useless. Other than that, the powerline adapters themselves generally last 3 to 4 years before failing and you get to replace them for a later model. I've started to cable out with cat6 and sockets, so problem gradually resolved.
