New game modes:
- Category quiz: Choose a category for which you want to answer questions.

good but bugs and unreasonable Point system. there's been a few times when I've gotten the question right and it's still minuses my score. I think the point system is unreasonable too because you get less points for right answers and more points taken away for wrong answers, so it's pretty much like one step forward two steps back.

The rating is based on the Elo system, that means that the points are dependent on the difficulty of the question (as determined by the answers of all players) and your own current rating. You lose more points for failing to answer easy questions and you gain more points for answering hard questions.

great app but would be nice to filter multiple categories. currently there are a ton of categories but you can either play all or select one. I'd like to eliminate the categories I am not familiar with but this isn't an option it appears. can this feature be added in an update?

The ability to filter categories would interfere with the correct calculation of the Elo rating. The Elo rating is there to reflect the complete range of your general knowledge; that includes fields you are not familiar with.

Fantastic quiz app everyone should get, simple, clear and fun. I was also very impressed with the speed of updates when an android update breaks something. buy it, you won't regret it.
