Great idea, not so great execution. Yt music works pretty ok, Spotify integration on the other hand is horrible. Songs get cut off, connection issues, sometimes even playing entirely different songs than what I pressed play on. Since it's so unreliable I'm almost not using the Sonos app now and just using Spotify connect. Sonos has superb sound, yet less than ideal software.

INSANELY drains battery. Used 26% in the background, with the screen using half of that for the whole day. Also: changing the sub levels is an EXTREME hassle. Takes LITERALLY 6 taps and a swipe through 6 different sub-menus. Very annoying when switching from pop/rock to classical or film music. For equipment this expensive and overpriced, you'd expect at least a good App and on-point development team, but alas.

Despite the lack of a line in or bluetooth Sonos is perfect for home environments. In business networks however it can be a real pain in the arse because of two reasons: The app and the speakers won't work when they are not in the same network. Second: If your wifi router/AP blocks broadcast traffic, such as Aruba IAP does by default (and for a very good reason) then the app won't find the speakers either. I really miss a [manual] button in the apps to enter the speaker information myself..

Renamed the Sonos S1 Controller, this app supports systems that include the oldest Sonos products. Systems supported by this app will continue to receive bug fixes and security patches but will not receive new software features found in the new Sonos S2 app and will not be compatible with Sonos products released after May 2020.
