The recording part really struggles to record your voice to check your pronunciation, and the results vary on which words are considered acceptable even though I repeated it the same way 10 times for each phrase. the recording portion irritated me so much I wouldn't pay for this. Thank goodness it's a free trial. Then it offers random numbers to learn, which Duolingo does similarly for other languages, but I find it harder to learn numbers when you don't learn at least to count 1-10.

jumped straight in a lesson learning about words like woman, man, and random numbers, not in order or anything. the "listen to the conversation" section is far too difficult for the first lesson. then you need pro to unlock the rest... not worth it. I'd rather learn "hello" and go from there. maybe you need pro for basic greetings.

I did not find this app helpful. It will present a new vocab word, then use it in a sentence that contains zero words I already know (even once I got several lessons in). I just feel like I've had words thrown at me in a pile with no rhyme or reason to how the information is presented. I never feel I have any retention for the vocab or grammar even though I aced the exercises in the app. Really frustrating.
