About this game

At 25, Florence Yeoh feels a little stuck. Her life is an endless routine of work, sleep, and spending too much time on social media. Then one day, she meets a cello player named Krish who changes everything about how she sees the world.

Experience every beat of Florence and Krish’s relationship through a series of bespoke gameplay vignettes – from flirting to fighting, from helping each other grow... to growing apart.
Drawing inspiration from ‘slice of life’ graphic novels and webcomics, Florence is intimate, raw and personal.

From the lead designer of Monument Valley comes Florence, an emotive and unique mobile narrative experience.

Short and sweet. as an artist and animator myself, I enjoyed this game, more so for the art or from an artistic standpoint. games that are atmospheric and artistic, like Monument Valley, Ico, Inside, etc. it's like an interactive comicbook, with mini games to move the story forward. I think it's hard to come up with the mini game, interactive section that has variety that all ages can easily pick up and play. the cons are no multiple ending or branching path.

Edit: I'm changing to 5 stars from 3 because I think the point of this game is the ambience and the feelings, which it does beautifully. Tough to review... it's a great story. The mechanics do a great job representing what's happening. But it's so short, and there's no room for independent thought. You just do the motion you're prompted to do. There's zero deviation from the set actions and results. I just played it through twice within half an hour to try to do anything different.

Outstanding. Not just the gold standard of what a mobile ought to strive to be, but also a game worthy of standing next to any console or pc experience. Triple-A rpgs could learn a lot from game's tactile and kinetic "dialogue." Videogame developers could actually also learn a lot about character development and relationships as well from this game, and a whole mess of other stuff. The soundtrack to this game alone makes it more than worth it. Buy this game, and thank me later. 5*/5
