The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.

Horrible accessing storage, cropping pics not giving the option to just save the pic (making copy only), and waiting ........ endless waiting before you can use it again after making an edit. Update now has less waiting. Moving photos into folders isn't as easy as it should be. Search for photos e.g. fish. .. mistakes some bugs for fish. Another search for "sky" confused ocean. Let's just say the A I. needs work. Never had such a poor experience with a phone app before.

Hi Steve. You can add filters, crop photos, and more on your mobile device or computer. To edit photos on your mobile device, use the Google Photos app. Some features aren't available on web. Learn how to edit your photos: https://goo.gle/3IsQe5e.

It's great for storing/organizing your own photos and videos on your own device/account. However, photo and video editing are often buggy. Shared albums are missing basic auto-sorting features and adding videos to them can result in them being stuck in the processing phase in perpetuity. The files aren't corrupted; the software just isn't working as it should and there are no steps to troubleshoot or easily refresh/restart the upload process.

Downloaded images are too hard to find now! There was a big update a few months ago that changed the layout of the app. It added a bunch of folders to the "On this device" section, and now it is so impossible to find images I've downloaded. It doesn't matter if I'm downloading them from Facebook, Gmail or messages; it seems like they sometimes show up in the download folder, and sometimes they're nowhere to be found. It's so frustrating!!

What’s new
We are introducing a new storage management tool to help you easily manage the photos that count toward your storage quota. This tool will surface photos or videos you might want to delete — like blurry photos, screenshots and large videos.
