This game feels like a more mechanically developed prequel, with more detailed item usage and a more rewarding gameplay loop. While I do prefer the wider scope of the original game, this one is not far behind, with equally amazing music and memorable monsters. My only complaint is that there haven't been any major additions in a while, and now that the prismatics have concluded, I feel the game needs something new. I expect something is in store, however, so I am excited to see where it goes.

Just like MSM but it's a HD fun experience. while the levels are a hassle especially for Cave island and XP is so slow. but the songs are awesome especially Cave and Space island! And the recent Mythicals don't disappoint but maybe make them available more often. still a 10/10 game!

It's good if you're willing to grind for 2 weeks to get one monster to cave island. Also one island literally takes a whole year to complete, so yeaaah.. Update - new monsters are slowly arriving at the continent, which is awesome, but I feel like it undermines the rest of the islands. It makes the continent a breeding grounds for every single monster and leaves the outer islands as a mere collectible it seems. Especially since the only thing you can generate on outer islands is coins.
