It does not listen to the instructions until I finish speaking. I ask Alexa to play a classical piece and I am specific but it plays something totally different and unrelated. Piece it's available on Amazon Music but impossible to get it played on an Echo device. No integration. Volume adjustment cannot be worse. Slider moves to the point of touch and suddenly it's too loud or too quiet. Adjustment happens not as you slide but when you lift your finger up. Not user friendly at all.

The Alexa app seems to be having problems and issues with older devices. Shows them offline and non-responcive, but they still play music and have some general function, but I can't access them through the app to change the settings. I suspect that this is on purpose to change to a newer models and phase out the older models. Designed obsolesence. I have 14 devices and wish I had gone the Google route... I still might if this continues.

Alexa still has a long way to go, but it's also gotten better. There's always the paranoia of the devices listening to whomever purchased the Alexa device, either for things that person purchases, in order to market certain things to them. There's also the paranoia of the Alexa device listening in on the purchaser on other, more risqué practices. I, personally ,am too insignificant for the Alexa device to pay much attention to anything I say. Overall, I recommend Alexa for a smart home tool.
