In Sandwich Sudoku, the puzzle is presented with extra numbers outside the grid next to each row and column. These numbers indicate the SUM of cells sandwiched between the 1 and the 9 in that row/column. The logic required to solve the puzzles will appeal to anyone who enjoys normal sudoku and a bit of basic maths. Each puzzle here has been lovingly hand-crafted by Mark Goodliffe and Simon Anthony, the hosts of Cracking The Cryptic. They've even included their own hints on each puzzle to help if you get stuck. Mark and Simon have both represented the UK many times in the World Sudoku Championship.

The game is very well laid out and fun though I do have a few issues with it. Firstly: it would be nice to do a multi pencil marking style. When I try to do corner pencil markings and middle markings, it just overwrites it. Making it hard to do double notation as per your cracking the cryptic videos. Secondly: I found puzzle 12 to have two different forms of ambiguous solutions surrounding the numbers 2,3 and 4. I input the numbers and verified that the puzzle should work either way.

Layout of the buttons is so weird. When I try to add a corner number, they don't go to the correct place, they just start in the top left corner. What even are the buttons between the highlight and delete button for? They don't seem to do anything. Menu text and hints are so large and ugly. Formatting is just so weird. Would love a developer reply to this seems others want the old UI back too, pictures on app page don't seem to match game.

Easily the best Sudoko based game on the app store. Most innovative controls, easiest app to use, and with, in my opinion, the best options for pencil marks! Having played many of the (free) sudoku apps, this beats all of them. Would love if you guys made a single app with loads various variations on Sudoko (Sandwich, Killer, Thermomer, etc). I personally would be happy to have in app purchases per variations.
