More difficult and expensive than buying tickets at the train station. Maybe more comprehensive filters would help. I had to be very flexible and still ended up having to fly from Milan to Amsterdam because of strikes and wildly inconvenient layovers (midnight to 6am in a German station, for ex). Plus I had to pay extra for all but one trip, even with a 1st class ticket. I have 7 days left on my pass, I took 2 flights I hadn't planned on, for around $450 and the pass cost $600+ $15/ea. trip.

In general this is a great service and a good app but some improvements would make it much better. 1. Seat reservation booking. Some are possible to do via the app but most require you to go to wonky third party website that don't work well on mobile. Make it native to this app! 2. The planner doesn't show platform information. In some countries there are boards on every platform so it's easy to find it but most of the times it's not the case and you can easily miss your connecting train.

The whole process of getting your ticket is very complicated.You'd imagine it's a simple one ticket per day, given that it worls for any trains. But no, you still have to add every journwy to the app and activate it with a multi step process. On top of that the app does not work without internet. This is extremely inconvenient when you need to show the ticket and don't have signal. Also, it seems that updated train schedules are only delivered via app updates. This should be completely decoupled! Finally, the app just shut me out because it was outdated and would not let me use it until I updated. This was super stressful simce it was exactly the moment when I had to show my ticket. I am travelling (surprise) so I haven't had WiFi for a while to update the app. Now I had to update it via mobile data. And it wasn't that old before either...
