lately, I use the app through my google tv. it works better than streaming from the phone to a chromecast. it is a big improvement from my previous experiences. the only thing making it a 4 out of 5 is that checking the details of a series and going back to the homepage disables the scroll option in a category you were looking at. scrolling the page down is also not possible. restarting the app is the only solution. this is sad.

Screen froze twice during ads in the begining had to go back and start again. Takes too much time to buffer. I don't mind the ads as long as it's good service which this app does not seem to provide. Also not a very good collection of anime. The most popular once are not available. edit: the app is much better now. although it's paid it's still good. would love it if they included other good popular anime as well.

8 or so years of my life, crunchyroll had been worthless to me. I couldn't watch anime without constant buffering no matter what I tried. However, I decided to give it another chance a few weeks back and there is a world of difference. The stream is smooth, the controls are decent, the search function isn't perfect, but works pretty well, and the wishlist is useful. My only big complaint now is the lack of an anime rate/review feature. Oh, and the occasional missing anime or subtitle error.
